 Rebranding  - Nestaway

 Identity Building | Copywriting

I assisted a senior writer in building a new verbal identity for Nestaway, as a part of its overall rebranding.

 

I interned at Lopez Design for two months and this was the most exciting opportunity that I got at the studio. Nestaway wanted to rebuild their identity as a brand.  As the visual language was being developed by the designers, I, under the guidance of my mentor, was given the responsibility to create a tone of voice that would compliment the new personality. 

 

This included coming up with a new nomenclature for their extensions and provisions, setting up a tone that goes hand-in-hand with the new identity and writing copy for print and other forms of communication that would act as a reference moving forward.

 

This was my first professional exposure to identity building and translating a brand’s core belief into a voice. This exercise helped me understand the basics of branding and the learning remains immensely useful to me till date.

 

The new identity went on to win a Kyoorius Design Award for best project.
