Raksha Jyoti - Mortein
Conceptualisation | Screenplay

Around Diwali, families across India open their doors and windows to welcome Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth, lighting handmade oil lamps or diyas to guide her into their homes. But these very open doors and windows also invite an unwelcome guest: mosquitoes. To address this, Mortein introduced Raksha Jyoti, a special diya designed to protect while preserving tradition.

Inspired by the age-old practice of lighting diyas with ghee, Raksha Jyoti was crafted using wax infused with mosquito-repellent actives. When lit, it not only illuminated homes for the goddess but also released mosquito protection, ensuring families could celebrate safely.

Mortein distributed Raksha Jyoti packs in high-risk areas, educating communities about the dangers of mosquito-borne diseases while providing them with a culturally rooted solution.
To amplify the impact, we launched an awareness campaign that highlighted the problem and encouraged people to embrace this innovation, allowing them to celebrate Diwali with light, safety, and peace of mind.
